Growing Cities of Hope.

What would a city shaped by the kingdom of God truly look like?

Big Tree City exists to explore this question — and to begin answering it together, starting in Spokane.

Vision

To see Christ become visible again in the key branches of city life.

We believe a city reflects the Kingdom of God when its fruit becomes visible in everyday life:

  • Families marked by love, stability, and responsibility
  • Education shaped by truth, excellence and faith
  • Business driven by integrity, trust, and long-term thinking
  • Churches actively serving and shaping their communities
  • Communities marked by unity and a shared mission

What is Big Tree?

The idea behind Big Tree comes from Jesus’ image of the mustard seed: a small beginning that can grow into a great tree. In the same way, visible faith, responsibility, and courageous leadership can grow beyond individual lives and begin to shape an entire city.

Big Tree is the name of that broader vision. It sees city life as a tree with many branches, each representing an important area of community life.

The eight branches of Big Tree are:

Most people talk about their city.
Very few understand it.

What really shapes a city is not always visible.
Trust, responsibility, unity, and faith determine its direction.

This short assessment helps you see where your city truly stands.

A short parable about a city, a river, and the place where renewal begins.

Three Ways to Get Involved

Sit at the table

Once a month, a small group meets in Spokane to talk honestly about the future of the city — and what it would take to rebuild its foundations.

This is not a public event.
It is a space for thoughtful conversation, trust, and shared responsibility.

Some join for a first conversation. Others continue to build what starts there.

Lead where it matters

Business is not just economic activity. It shapes culture and influences the long-term direction of a city.

Kingdom City Builders brings together business leaders who want to build based on Christian faith, responsibility, and long-term impact — not only for success, but for the good of the city.

This is a space for those who take leadership seriously and want their work to reflect something greater.

Take responsibility where you are

A city changes when people take responsibility in their area of influence.

Big Tree is not built by a few — but by many who are willing to step in where they are.

Tell us where you feel called to contribute, and we will help you find your place.

Why Big Tree exists

This is not just an idea. It is a response to what we see happening in our cities — and a vision for what could be restored.

Hear directly from the founders.

What if a city could grow through faith, responsibility and real relationships? Big Tree City exists to explore that question — and to begin answering it together in Spokane.
